Today, we kicked off GHS Teacher Appreciation Week with the theme “Start Strong, Finish Strong!” Our amazing teachers came dressed as the champions they are in athletic gear, team apparel, and comfy outfits ready to train.
During lunch, teachers were treated to a delicious “Power Up” Salad Bar as a special way to celebrate and thank them for the incredible work they do each day for our scholars.
A special thank you goes to Ms. Barnes and her culinary students for serving our teachers during lunch and helping make today’s celebration a success.
We appreciate our GHS teachers and look forward to celebrating them all week long!

Griffin High School recently hosted its Assessment Parent Academy to provide families with helpful information about the Georgia Milestones Assessments and the important role families play in supporting scholar achievement.
During the session, families learned about the purpose of the Georgia Milestones, Griffin High School’s Spring 2026 testing window of April 21–29, 2026, what scholars can expect on testing days, student expectations and procedures, how assessment scores are used, and strategies for supporting learning at home.
Families were encouraged to help scholars prepare by ensuring they arrive at school on time, get adequate rest, review class materials, maintain a positive mindset, and avoid bringing phones or other electronic devices into testing sessions. Families were also reminded to encourage scholars to ask questions whenever support is needed.
Griffin High School appreciates the families who participated in this important session and remains committed to building strong school-family partnerships that help scholars succeed. Together, we will continue to help our scholars Level Up & AIM Higher.
