GSCS and Butts County Schools' Exceptional Students had an awesome day at the Special Olympics Track & Field Event today at Spalding High School! Students kicked off the event with a parade, then competed in track and field events and played developmental games. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event so fun and special for our students! Shout out to the SHS Blue Jag Funk Marching Band, chorus and student volunteers!


CRMS invites our Premier Parents to review the attached GADOE Survey Parent Letter. We are sharing information about the Georgia Department of Education (GADOE) Student Survey, which will be open from December 1 through March 31. The survey includes 73 questions and helps gather valuable feedback to support our students and school community.

Who's that Panther? Shwanda M. Dukes, Ed.S is a 1990 graduate of Savannah State University, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Marketing. Her unwavering commitment to her alma mater is reflected in her active participation as a proud Life Member of the Savannah State University Alumni Association and as a dedicated member of the Atlanta Downtown Alumnae Chapter.
Additionally, she contributes her expertise as a member of the Alumni Scholarship Committee, supporting the next generation of scholars.
Originally from Griffin, where she began her roots. With an impressive 25-year career in education, she has taught students from 3rd to 8th grade, and currently serves as a 8th Grade Math Teacher and Grade Level Chair, specializing in both Regular and Gifted/Honors classes. Extended Learning Site Coordinator here alongside with Mrs. Julie Evans. Driven by a deep sense of purpose Dukes considers education a divine calling. Her passion for shaping young minds, nurturing their potential, and fostering academic growth has been the cornerstone of her career. Dukes' exceptional contributions to education were recognized when she was named Teacher of the Year at Cowan Road Middle School for the 2021-2022 academic year, and she was honored as one of the top three finalists for the Griffin-Spalding District Teacher of the Year.
Dukes' academic journey is a testament to her commitment to excellence. She earned a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College. She also holds an Educational Leadership Certification from the University of West Georgia/RESA, Gifted Certification from the University of Georgia, as well as Math, Reading, and Coaching Endorsements from
Griffin RESA. Savannah State University played a pivotal role in laying the foundation for her continued academic success, and she remains a passionate advocate for the institution, proudly wearing SSU gear and celebrating its influence in her life. Beyond her academic and professional achievements, Dukes is an active member of the Delta Sigma Theta
Sorority, Inc., and Alpha Delta Kappa, where she serves on the Scholarship Committees of both organizations,
furthering her dedication to supporting education and empowering others

Over 200 Premier Panthers joined the Cowan Soccer Interest Meeting yesterday afternoon ❤️🖤 ⚽️ Coach Morgan, Coach Middleton, Coach Holland and Coach Johnson are looking forward to the season! Please ensure you have physicals completed and uploaded in Rank One!
