Artavious E. Morgan, A.A.S, B.A.,BSC., PMP CRMS Parent Liaison
Artavious E. Morgan, A.A.S,B.A.,BSc., PMP is an accomplished educational leader with over a decade of experience across education, social services, and human resources. Widely recognized for his commitment to student achievement, family-school collaboration, and community empowerment, he brings a strategic, equity-driven mindset to every role. At Cowan Road Middle School in the Griffin-Spalding County School System, Mr. Morgan serves in numerous leadership roles, including Parent Liaison, AVID Site Team Member, CRMS Leadership Team Member, United Way School Representative, Student Government Advisor, Head Boys Soccer Coach, PBIS Site Team Member, and Homecoming Coordinator. He is also part of Cohort XI in the Griffin-Spalding County Schools Quality Leader Academy for Aspiring Leaders and Assistant Principals.
His career spans roles such as English Language Arts Teacher, Assistant Site Coordinator, Behavior Interventionist, Data Clerk, EBD and Interrelated Paraprofessional, and Interim Nutrition Technology Coordinator, at both elementary and middle grades level, as well as the district solidifies the range of expertise Mr. Morgan contributes to his profession. A trusted voice in education, Mr. Morgan has been featured in Bold Journey Magazines. Shoutout Atlanta, Canvas Rebel, and Voyage ATL. Podcasts on his journey as a Published Children’s Author with Studentreasures Publish Company on iHeartRadio, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts, where he advocates for literacy, equity, and community-based leadership. Notable work pertaining to nonprofits featured in Bold Journey Magazines. Notable recognition and features in The Griffin Daily News.
Mr. Morgan studied Sociology at Georgia Southern University, where he was active member of Men of Vision and Excellence, a statewide initiative for African American male student success. He was one of 27 selected for the Internship Scholarship Program through the Office of Career and Professional Development.
He later earned a degree in Applied Management with minors in Business Analytics and Marketing from Grand Canyon University’s Colangelo College of Business, graduating summa cum laude, earning Dean’s List honors, and receiving an Alumni Legacy Brick for academic excellence. A published Children's Author with Studentreasures “Can You Afford” with collaboration with his gifted honors scholars 2023-24.
In addition, he completed advanced training through Georgia State University’s Child Welfare Training Collaborative and served within the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services. Professional Development training at Ron Clark Academy, National African American Child and Family Research Center at Morehouse School of Medicine, AVID 4 College Orlando, Mary Frances Early College of Education Research Conference at University of Georgia. With experience across Coweta, DeKalb, Fayette, Henry, Rockdale, and Griffin-Spalding counties, he brings a broad, community-centered lens to education. As a member of Griffin Men of Action, he remains committed to ensuring families feel informed, welcomed, and empowered. In the community he is also involved with the Griffin Youth Soccer Association, where he served two years as a soccer coach. Alumni Commemorative Brick member and National Honor Society member at Grand Canyon University. United Way representative for Literacy Action with the Griffin Spalding County Schools System. Lifetime member of Men of Vision and Excellence Statesboro, Savannah and Hinesville Georgia Southern University campus.

Tiawna Cooper, M.Ed CRMS Parent Liaison
Ms. Tiawna Cooper proudly serves as the Reading Support Teacher and Parent Liaison at Cowan Road Middle School. With four years of experience in Griffin-Spalding County Schools, she is passionate about creating a positive and engaging learning environment where all students can thrive.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (K–6) from Barry University and a master’s degree in Reading Education (K–12) from Nova Southeastern University in Miami, Florida. Ms. Cooper enjoys using technology to make instruction both meaningful and enjoyable, helping students connect with content in creative ways.
Outside the classroom, she loves reading, attending church, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. Ms. Cooper values open communication and is dedicated to supporting both students and families throughout the school year.
