I'm Ms. Evans, the Media Specialist at CRMS. I began my teaching career at CRMS in 2006 as an 8th Grade ELA/Social Studies teacher. I was the girl's softball coach for CRMS from 2007 - 2011. Because of my love of reading and wanting to encourage literacy among our students, I entered the Library Science program at West Georgia in 2012. In May 2012 I was elected as the 2012 - 2013 Teacher of the Year for Cowan Road Middle School. In November 2012, I was elected the Teacher of the Year for the Griffin-Spalding School District. I moved from the classroom to the media center in the Fall of  2013. I was asked to coach the CRMS Academic Team in 2016. In 2019 the CRMS Academic Team came in 2nd Place in wins in the RESA Region and placed 3rd in the Jimmy Carter Historical Site Academic Bowl. In enjoy sharing my passion of reading with our students and always try to find a way to incorporate literacy in each subject.

Hours and Checking Out

The media center is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 - 4:00. 
Student are allowed to check out two books at a time and books are due 14 days after the check out date.
